Welcome to the “Free Resources” Module
This module provides lists of resources that you can access for free, with the exception of one list of curriculum programs developed by others that are aligned with a CBA and are available for purchase. The resources are divided into the following sections. Each section can be accessed by clicking on the desired link in the Sidebar to your left.
Additional resources will be added to this module as they are identified. When changes are made to any of the webpages or the “pdf” or “docx” documents on the CBA Website, their corresponding files in this module will be replaced.
Favorite Websites
This is an annotated list of websites which we have found to be very informative and helpful in developing our construct-based approach (CBA) to school counseling.
Curriculum Programs and Activities
This section is divided into two parts: a) a list of curriculum programs that are aligned with a CBA and can be incorporated into your CBA school counseling program and CBA curriculum scope and sequence. Access to these websites is free, however, the actual product is for purchase. We highly recommend these products as a way of quickly developing your CBA curriculum with research-based and evidence-based practices.
PDF Versions of Webpages
PDF versions of webpages on the CBA Website are provided in this section. They are organized according to the modules in which they appeared (e.g., Home, Develop a CBA). These webpages are considered to be “knowledge exercises” which are intended to help you gain an understanding of the key concepts and language set used in the CBA. All webpages can be downloaded using the “Save” icon on the Adobe Reader’s black toolbar that appears in each document.
Many of the webpage documents will contain links to “pdf” and MS Word “docx” files. The hyperlinks are not set up to work in the “pdf” version of the webpages. Rather, these “Instructions” and “Template” files can be accessed and downloaded from the next list: “Links to PDF and DOCX Files.”
Templates and Instructions
Some webpages (Develop Learning Opportunities, Develop Student Assessments, Plan for a CBA, Implement a CBA, Evaluate a CBA) contain links to Templates (“docx” files) and their accompanying Instructions (“pdf” files). All templates and instructions in the CBA Website can be accessed and downloaded from the list below.
For “pdf” files, download from inside the file. For “docx” files, when you click on the link you will have the option of opening, saving or doing a “Save As.” It is recommended that you do a “Save As” and download it to your hard drive. Getting it to open on your screen takes time.
External Resources
All the research-related webpages contain links to videos and websites. These links are provided in this section. They are organized according to the primary research sections in which they appear.
