Anyone who spends any time surfing the Internet is going to come across sites that are particularly relevant, meaningful and inspirational. The following list represents sites that have impacted us in this way. We highly recommend that you visit them.

Ronald H. Fredrickson Center for School Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation (CSCORE)

CSCORE is located at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. It provides a wealth of information on school counseling research and has conducted major research studies to establish learner-centered programs within the purview of school counselors that are evidence-based.


Evidence-Based School Counseling National Conference

This website provides information about an annual conference focused on evidence-based programs and practices in school counseling. The site contains information on upcoming conferences along with copies of the presentations made at the conference in prior years. If you are looking for a conference to attend that provides meaningful linkages between the research and higher education community and PreK-12 school counselor practitioners, this is an excellent choice. We recommend that you submit a proposal to present to share your insights and experiences.



The website by the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning is an excellent resource for understanding the importance of SEL on students.

This site has a wealth of information on social-emotional learning, positive psychology and spirituality, all of which deepen our understanding of how to educate the whole child.



This is a very informative website on many topics that focus on areas that school counselors address in their daily practice.

Ted Talk presentations are informative, thought-provoking and inspirational. They represent leading thinkers and innovators in a great variety of fields.



This is a fabulous website for anyone that gives you access to so much information and so many perspectives on an incredible number of topics. It is certainly more pleasurable that reading a series of long articles, especially for non-read and write learners.
